Why
In times of e-commerce and just-in-time delivery, the self-contained Jungheinrich PowerCube is a highly flexible solution for compact storage and efficient order picking. It adapts to spatial requirements and existing warehouse systems.
How
It is an automated container compact warehouse where individual small parts containers are stacked vertically, stored, transferred and brought by autonomous, energy-efficient lithium-ion shuttles to manual workstations, where they are prepared for delivery. In contrast to the technical inner workings, the inviting workstations are strongly user-oriented in design: They are ergonomically optimized, safe and intuitive.
What
Our task in the cooperation with the Jungheinrich design team consisted of two main topics. The first was to create an overall visual character for the block storage system that would represent both innovative technology and the Jungheinrich brand, while at the same time allowing for customization options.
The second and larger part consisted of the analysis of the requirements and restructuring of the manual workplace, as a fundamental part of the intralogistics chain.
